We started off the day with coffee on the balcony, Abby went to the beach alone.
I made some pb&j sandwiches and we met here there.
(the girls are getting tired of me taking pictures, they said I'm like the paparazzi)
After showers and getting ready me went to the mall for what Tory calls "real sushi" not sure why she calls it that, but she does.
The girls walked home and Andy and I went for a walk around the Port Forum.
Day 40 / July 6, 2013
We went to the zoo today. We walked 2 miles to the zoo. It was very warm out. ( I was going to say hot, but since it's been hot at home I felt like I shouldn't say hot when it's only 84 degrees)
Tory likes to take pictures of the animals.
4 miles.
Then we walked to the metro to go to the taqueria for lunch.
We all ordered different kinds of tacos and shared them all. Our waiter was from Guadalajara, Mexico.
Another mile.
Walked back to the metro, and headed home for a nap.
After some nice down time we got ready for dinner. Tonight we had reservation to go to the restaurant Tickets at 10:30pm!!!
Andy was very excited for this restaurant. Owned and operated by the chefs, the Adria brothers.
Andy had to make the reservations 2 months ago. It took us about an hour to get there, walking and 2 subway rides.
Iberico ham, tomato bread, and Spanish anchovies
Deconstructed olives. Weird.
Soft boiled quail egg in a nest. All edible. Tory did not like this course so much.
This one had an edible pearl.
These were the largest oysters ever. Andy said they were like the size of 5 regular oyster each because they were so big.
DESSERT ~
They taste like guava foam
Taste like Captain Crunch berries.
Cream puff with Nutella
The Favorite:
Carrot cake, cup cake with mango cream, in a candy cup cake paper
After Eight. Mint leaves pressed in rice paper with chocolate nut pieces.
25 courses in all. What a meal!
The never ending underground hallway to switch lines at the subway station.
We got home at 2am. What a day!!
Great photos of an awesome dinner! Wish I could have been there. Tell Andy that I'm looking forward to the Spanish party you both throw with all the food you've learned about. I also was inspired by you to make Sangria for our 4th of July dinner. See you soon! Ang
